Welcome to the  Links Page

The following links give access to useful information and articles that will inform as to the nature of my work and network of professional support.

NAGALRO is the Professional Association for Children's Guardians, Family Court Advisors, and Independent Social Workers.  I am a former Council Member, and currently serve on the Editorial Board of it's Journal 'Seen and Heard'.

Dr Crittenden is a leading international authority on attachment theory, having developed the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment, and some of the attachment measures that I use.  The website provides articles and information on attachment theory and measures of attachment.

This website details a study of adoptions that made use of attachment story stems and the Adult Attachment Interview - two measures that are key to my work.  The articles here are helpful in understanding how these measures work.

The International Association for the Study of Attachment (IASA) is a multi-disciplinary association of mental health professionals who wish to improve mental health treatment and assessment. To this end, itsfocus is on how humans cope with threat and the effects of this on later adaptation or maladaptation.  I am a founder member and a member of the Forensic Committee (applications to Court Proceedings)

This is the measure of Adult Attachment developed by Carol George and Judith Solomon, that uses fictional narratives of adult to assess attachment styles.  There are interesting articles on adult attachment here.

My aim is to thoroughly integrate my observations and judgments with appropriate research.  This site is a good source of research summaries on particular issues in Social Work.

On a completely different note, we have a holiday cottage in Swanage, Dorset, on the Purbeck peninsula that is available for holidays and shortbreaks.  This website contains full information about the cottage.
